Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. (James 5: 14-15)
The Sacrament of the Sick is available upon request for persons anticipating surgery, suffering from serious illness or notably weak due to advanced age. For more information or questions, please contact Monique Hubbard (508) 224-3636, Ext. 120 or by email at [email protected]
The Sacrament of the Sick renews trust in God, strengthens resolve in the face of difficulties, grants a participation in the saving work of Christ, forgives sins and prepares a person for the final journey home to the Father’s house.
Persons wishing to receive the Sacrament of the Sick are asked to call the office and arrange for an appointment or home visit. The Sacrament is regularly made available to persons hospitalized or in nursing homes.
