Then Jesus took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.” (Luke 22: 19)

The Twelve called together the community of the disciples and said, “It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to serve at table.  Brothers, select from among you seven reputable men, filled with the Holt Spirit, who we shall appoint to this task.” (Act 6: 2-4)
