The Fund for the Needy of St. Bonaventure Parish was established in 1980 by Sister Jeremy Horgan, C.S.J. Sister Jeremy organized parishioners to help provide food and other critical assistance to families living in the parish area. Today the Fund continues Sister Jeremy's mission to help people living in our community who are in need. Financial support for the Fund for the Needy is provided by the generous donations of parishioners and benefactors and the the proceeds from our Annual Golf Classic, our only fundraising event. Through these, the Fund offers a Food Pantry, emergency financial assistance for heating fuel and electricity and other urgent needs for people facing severe difficulties due to hardship. The Fund is managed by the Parish Outreach Coordinator and is assisted by a Volunteer Board and dedicated group of volunteers.
If you or someone you know is in need of assistance and currently living in the Manomet and South Plymouth area, please contact the Fund for the Needy Committee at (508) 224-3636, Ext. 124.
